The main reason is the absence of good rest for players during the off-season. CSPPA has asked Valve to host large championships during at the middle or the end of a season for a number of times because the start of a season is the worst time to host Major tournaments.

After StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 was announced, CSPPA asked Valve one more time for help but didn’t receive an answer. Besides this, one of the heads of CSPPA, Scott ‘SirScoots’ Smith has announced that has been trying to prove the developers of CS:GO that the approach to choosing dates of championships must be more responsible and thorough, considering a schedule of participants of events.

The CS:GO professional players’ association was created in March 2018. A few months later, CSPPA revealed players, who will work on defending colleagues’ interests, to the public. One of the association’s main aims is a solution of problems with busy tournament scheduling, however, when CSPPA is trying to do something, Valve ignores them. One of the players of Astralis, Andreas ‘Xyp9x’ Hojsleth has been chosen as a head of CSPPA.
