Team Spirit Benches zweih and chopper, Promotes zont1x and magixx Back to Main Roster

Team Spirit has officially moved Ivan “zweih” Gogin and Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov to the bench, opting to bring Boris “magixx” Vorobyev and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia back into the starting Counter-Strike 2 lineup. The roster shake-up follows the team’s performance at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 and was confirmed via Team Spirit’s official Telegram channel.

Two Players Benched After Major Results ⚠️

On December 18, Team Spirit announced sweeping changes to its CS2 roster, benching two players simultaneously:

• Ivan “zweih” Gogin, a recent addition who joined the team in July 2025
• Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, a long-time veteran who had represented the organization since early 2022

Team Spirit head coach Sergey “hally” Shavayev shared detailed thoughts on zweih’s benching:

Replacing Vanya was very difficult for us. We truly see great talent in him, and at the same time he is an excellent teammate. If we had the opportunity to have a roster of more than five players, we would gladly continue working together. However, it is obvious to me that he gravitates toward different in-game roles, and he also needs to grow stronger, in every sense, in order to compete on equal terms at the highest level. I sincerely wish him the best possible career. He is young, talented, and smart, and he has everything it takes to reach great heights. I am sure we will meet again on the server.

zont1x Returns, magixx Takes Over as Captain 🎯

To fill the vacant spots, Team Spirit decided to reintegrate Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia, who had previously taken time off to resolve personal matters. Additionally, Boris “magixx” Vorobyev has returned to the active lineup and will assume the captain role.

Commenting on the updated roster, hally wrote on his personal Telegram channel:

Myroslav and Borya are our old acquaintances; everyone knows what they are capable of, and the trophies we won together speak for themselves. Borya will have to master a new role for himself as captain, but I am confident that he has everything needed to become one of the best in it. Myroslav, in turn, has rested and will return to his roles with renewed strength.

Next Test for the New Lineup 🏆

Team Spirit’s revamped roster will make its debut at BLAST Bounty Winter 2026: Closed Qualifier, scheduled to run online from January 13 to 18.
