Astralis coach talks about the future of the roster in the coming months
trace, who is the head coach of Astralis, in an interview for the HLTV portal assured fans that in the next few months, changes in the team's roster should definitely not be expected. According to the 32-year-old Danish specialist, the team will continue to work in its current form and will prepare for the resumption of the competitive season.
Our goal is to fight for titles. We were able to do it in Cologne, where I think we could beat NAVI. We were not defeated, so there was definitely a chance. This is a positive sign. If we're lucky and we get better in the coming months, we might win some kind of trophy. We hope that in three months we will have a strong team in which we will fix everything that needs to be fixed. CS is constantly changing, so it's important to keep up with the meta. There are many good teams and players, but no, we will not have any changes.
We are building a long-term project. We are not playing to win the next tournament. We are working to win in, say, six months or so. This is a process. It takes time to perfectly prepare all the cards with a new player. A beginner, of course, is not an excuse, but it will definitely take time. We hope that the results of our training will appear in the next couple of months. We are working in the right direction.
Thus, the return of dev1ce to the Astralis camp is hardly planned. And yet the final word will be with the leadership of the Danish organization, which is certainly eager to return to the top of Olympus after a series of failures and crumpled results.
Recall that the last changes in the composition of Astralis took place at the end of February, when the team signed farlig. At the same time, the club announced reshuffles on the coaching bridge, appointing trace. Over the past three months, the Danish team has made it to the top three at BLAST Premier: Spring European Showdown 2022, Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, Roobet Cup 2022 and Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne.
The next championship for Astralis is BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022, which will be held from August 19 to 28. Well, then the team will go to the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 16, which starts at the end of August.
Astralis' current CS:GO roster is as follows:
- Xyp9x
- gla1ve
- k0nfig
- blameF
- farlig
- trace (trainer)
