Dignitas disbands its previous roster and leaves CS:GO
The North American esports organization Dignitas announced the parting with its previous roster and decided to leave the CS:GO discipline. Last month, the club put the team on the transfer, leaving room for re-signing players and forming a new squad.
While we have been exploring options for changes to our squad in recent weeks, we have decided that it is in our common interest to give all players and coaching staff the opportunity to explore other options. Thus, Dignitas will not be present in the CS:GO discipline for the foreseeable future.
We will root for our former players and the continued success of CS:GO from the outside, but for now we remain fans of one of the greatest disciplines. See you.
Recall that in early May, the Dignitas organization decided to put their entire CS:GO roster for transfer. Then the North American club planned to reconsider its possibilities and assemble a new team.
The last Dignitas roster was formed in early 2020, with minor changes over the next two seasons. During this time, the Swedish team became the winner of Elisa Invitational Spring 2020, BLAST Nordic Masters: Spring 2021 and BLAST Nordic Masters: Fall 2021, and also got into the top three at Eden Arena: Malta Vibes - Week 6, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 1, Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #2 and Pinnacle Cup III.
The Swedish team also took part in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A, where they failed to show themselves and stayed away from the major. It was the RMR tournament that became the last straw of patience for the organization, which then abandoned the roster.
Dignitas CS:GO roster looked like this:
- f0rest.
- friberg.
- hallzerk.
- HEAP.
- Lekr0.
- pita (coach).
