BIG has signed a female CS:GO roster
The German esports organization BIG has announced the signing of a female CS:GO roster, which will perform under the BIG equipa tag. The colors of BIG will be represented by the experienced Iberian team equipa, who managed to make it to the ESL Impact League Season 1.
We're excited to announce a further expansion of our CS:GO division as we sign our first women's team in Counter-Strike! Playing together since 2020, the Iberian team equipa has already made its first steps in women's CS:GO, winning several Cash Cups and, above all, qualifying for the finals of the first season of the ESL Impact League in Dallas. Expanding our CS:GO division to include a women's team has been on the horizon for us for a few years and now we have found a team at equipa that we can work with for the long term.
The equipa team was formed back in 2020. However, after ESL announced its plans to develop the female scene, the team began to take an active part in the championships, in particular, winning ESEA Winter 2021 Women Cash Cup 1 Europe and ESEA Winter 2021 Women Cash Cup 3 Europe, as well as making it to the final stage of ESL Impact League Season 1 by winning the European division.
I am very happy that we were able to sign a very talented and experienced women's CS:GO team. We've been following their progress since they've played under the equipa tag, and we're excited to have them as part of our CS:GO division! We are proud to be a part of Women's Esports and look forward to the ESL Impact League Season 1 Finals in Dallas and all upcoming competitions!
