COD Mobile Season 2: Lunar Charge Brings New Weapon, Plunder Mode, and Mythic Rewards

Call of Duty: Mobile is celebrating the Year of the Horse with Season 2: Lunar Charge, launching on February 11, 2026. The Lunar New Year-themed update introduces new content across DMZ: Recon, Multiplayer, and Battle Royale, alongside festive events inspired by Chinese folklore.

Season 2 brings a new Battle Pass weapon, a Mythic Weapon Draw, refreshed ranked rewards, and multiple limited-time events.

Seasonal Events and Highlights

Five Gods of Wealth: Fortune Fusion

This Lunar New Year event challenges players to complete daily missions to earn card flips on a themed board. Each flipped card grants Wealth Points, which can be exchanged for milestone rewards, including the Epic Type 25 — Emerald Prosperity Weapon Blueprint.

1v1 Duel Event: Second to None

Tied to the returning Duel mode, this event rewards players for earning trophies through victories. Available rewards include Secret Caches, a new Merc 2 Operator Skin, and various weapon camos.

Ramadan Event: Starlit Quest

Launching on February 16, 2026, this free seasonal event features themed rewards such as Zero — Tranquil Nights, AK-47 — Luminous, and SVD — Falcon’s Eye. The event will remain active throughout the rest of the season.

Additional limited-time activities include a DMZ: Recon team-up challenge, a Spring Break beach-themed event arriving in March, and other rotating content.

Free Battle Pass Tiers

Season 2 introduces the Lachman-556 Assault Rifle, a hybrid weapon that blends characteristics of SMGs and traditional assault rifles. Free tiers also include a Counter UAV Scorestreak reskin, Secret Caches, weapon camos, and cosmetic rewards.

Premium Battle Pass Tiers

Premium rewards feature new Operator Skins such as:

Challenge Pass

The Season 2 Challenge Pass introduces Standard, Special, and Elite Missions. Completing them earns tokens that can be exchanged for themed rewards, including a Modern Warfare (2019)-style Care Package reskin and a Black Ops Cold War-inspired Flashbang reskin.

New Modes and Gameplay Updates

Battle Royale Limited-Time Mode: Plunder

Plunder debuts in Call of Duty: Mobile as a full-season Battle Royale mode. Set on Isolated, trios compete to reach $1 million by looting, completing contracts, and eliminating enemies.

Operators respawn after death, ensuring continuous action. High-earning squads are marked on the map, creating high-pressure hotspots. Once a team surpasses $1 million, a three-minute bonus round begins, increasing all cash earnings by 1.5x before final totals determine the winner.

Multiplayer Updates

Shipment Lunar New Year Variant

Shipment receives a festive makeover with red and gold decorations, falling snow, firecrackers, and Spring Festival banners. The themed map will be available until February 25.

Return of 1v1 Duel

The competitive best-of-three 1v1 Duel mode returns. Players compete to reach seven eliminations per round, with weapon class selection shifting between rounds. Every match grants trophies, unlocking milestone rewards over time.

DMZ: Recon Updates

New Dynamic Event: The Train

A new event arrives on Serpent Island, where squads must intercept a moving train near a missile site. Teams clear marked locations, activate a control system, and launch a missile to destroy the train. Completing the objective alerts all Operators in the match, turning the area into a high-risk, high-reward zone filled with premium loot.

New Contract: Five Gods of Wealth

As part of the Lunar New Year collaboration, a special contract appears on Serpent Island. Players collect items from marked locations and summon the Five Gods of Wealth, exchanging gathered items for substantial cash rewards.

New Boss: Velikan (Building 21)

Velikan joins Building 21 as a new boss encounter. Protected by armored soldiers and armed with his signature War Machine grenade launcher, he patrols near the elevator area. Defeating him grants high-quality loot, including a powerful version of his War Machine.

Mythic Constellation: Weapon Trials

DMZ: Recon introduces Mythic Weapon Trials. Players can extract newly added Mythic Weapon Parts from Serpent Island and Building 21. Successfully extracting these parts allows access to three-day trials of select Mythic Weapon Blueprints, offering a hands-on preview before committing to a Draw.
