Rebirth Island Nighttime Variant Reportedly Returning in Warzone Season 6

A well-known Call of Duty leaker suggests that the nighttime version of Rebirth Island is set to return with Warzone’s upcoming Season 6 update. While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, Season 6 is expected to arrive in early to mid-October for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Notably, this will likely be the final season of Black Ops 6, as Black Ops 7 is scheduled to launch on November 14.

Rebirth Island’s Lasting Legacy

Since the release of Warzone in 2020, several maps have cycled in and out of the game, including Fortune’s Keep, Ashika Island, and Area 99. Yet few have left as lasting an impression as Rebirth Island and Verdansk. Designed as a smaller, fast-paced Resurgence map, Rebirth quickly became a community favorite. Although other maps have been introduced to keep the gameplay loop fresh, none have achieved the same level of popularity. For many players, Rebirth Island remains the definitive Resurgence experience—making news of its nighttime variant’s rumored return all the more exciting.

A Return to the Dark

The nighttime version of Rebirth Island first appeared in 2021 during the Destruction of Verdansk event but has been absent from the game ever since. Now, according to trusted data miner RealityUK, the map is making a comeback in Season 6. On Twitter, the leaker teased, “Seems Rebirth Night will be returning with Season 6.” No additional details were provided, leaving questions about whether it will arrive at launch or as part of a mid-season update. Still, evidence suggests the variant has already been added to the game’s files.

Looking Ahead to Black Ops 7

At present, Rebirth Island is the only Resurgence map available in Warzone. That may soon change with the launch of Black Ops 7 Season 1. Insider TheGhostOfHope claims a new Resurgence map is on the way, one reportedly built as a mashup of several Black Ops 6 Zombies locations, including Liberty Falls and Shattered Veil.

Beyond maps, Black Ops 7 promises significant gameplay changes when it arrives on November 14. The game will introduce an expanded omnimovement system featuring double jumps, while also reworking the tactical sprint mechanic to better integrate with core movement. Although some fans had anticipated the return of jet packs, the developers confirmed they will not be included.
