PP90M1 Confirmed to Return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode
The latest preview of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies mode has seemingly confirmed the return of the beloved PP90M1 submachine gun. This fan-favorite weapon, known for its rapid rate of fire and compact design, became highly popular following its debut in the original Modern Warfare 3 back in 2011. Treyarch teased the weapon in a new intel drop as the release date for Black Ops 6 draws near.
Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be a monumental entry in the Call of Duty franchise, packed with new gameplay innovations and a host of iconic features that fans love. Set shortly after the events of 2020's Cold War, the game will introduce a new campaign mode along with revamped multiplayer and Zombies experiences. The continuation of Warzone is also expected, with a new map having already leaked months ahead of the game's release. As anticipation builds for Black Ops 6, the return of the PP90M1 adds another layer of excitement.
In Treyarch's latest intel drop for Black Ops 6 Zombies, the PP90M1 can be briefly spotted. CharlieIntel shared a screenshot of the weapon, and it appears almost identical to its original 2011 version. Originally featured in Modern Warfare 3, the PP90M1 became one of the most popular and notorious guns in the game. Black Ops 6 Zombies will also see the return of the Jet Gun, an infamous Wonder Weapon from Black Ops 2, which is likely to receive a significant buff in its new iteration.
Treyarch Teases the PP90M1's Return in Black Ops 6
Although Modern Warfare 3 didn’t achieve the same level of popularity as its predecessors, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, it has since become a cult classic among Call of Duty fans. The game is often praised for its unique perk systems and diverse array of weapons, with the PP90M1 standing out as a powerful submachine gun that allowed players to tear through enemies at lightning speeds. It appears that this iconic weapon will make a comeback in Black Ops 6, at least within its Zombies mode, which is poised to set a new standard for the survival experience.
Treyarch has already confirmed that round-based Zombies gameplay will return in Black Ops 6, with two new maps available at launch. The Zombies mode will also introduce a new perk called Melee Macchiato, along with several other features and items that longtime fans won’t want to miss. Treyarch has showcased "Terminus," one of the two Zombies maps launching with Black Ops 6, and the developers are expected to reveal "Liberty Falls," the second launch map, soon.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, 2024.
