This week marks the start of a free trial period for the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer
Players on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will be able to try out certain multiplayer features for free starting from December 14 at 10:00 Pacific Time/ 13:00 Eastern Time/ 18:00 British Time until December 18.
This offer grants access to updated game maps and a new location from the first season named Meat, set in a meatpacking plant at the port of Oakland, California.
Additionally, three maps for the Ground War, War, and Zombies modes from Modern Warfare will be available.
Here are the features included in the free multiplayer trial:
- 6v6 Core Maps: Terminal, Rust, Highrise, Shipment, Afghan, Meat.
- Ground War Maps: Popov Power, Orlov Military Base, Levin Resort.
- Core Modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Ground War, War.
- Playlists: Rustment 24/7 (Shipment and Rust), War Mode, 6v6 Moshpit (including Highrise, Meat, Afghan, Terminal), Ground War, Modern Warfare Zombies.
The first season of Modern Warfare 3 has recently begun, introducing a plethora of new elements to multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
It includes three new 6v6 multiplayer maps, the return of modes like Gunfight, All or Nothing, Infected, and Headquarters, a new storyline for the Zombies mode, dark etheric rifts, and a new map for Warzone called Urzikstan.
While Modern Warfare 3 topped the charts for game sales in November in the UK, its sales fell significantly below those of the previous year's Call of Duty.
According to GSD data on physical and digital sales, within the first three weeks of being on the market, Modern Warfare 3 sold 38% less than Modern Warfare 2 did after its release in October of the previous year.
