Immortals Wins Community Gaming Premier Series Finale
The Community Gaming Premier Series Finale has come to an end. The championship, which took place online from August 28-29, saw 32 North American teams compete for a $ 10,000 prize pool. The winner was the Immortals team, which beat Complexity in the grand final with a score of 2: 0 (Haven - 16:14; Icebox - 13:11).
Interestingly, the championship for the future winner began unsuccessfully, since already in the first round, Immortals lost to YFP Gaming (1: 2) and fell into the lower bracket. Here the team needed to use internal forces to pass the Pittsburgh Knights (13:10), Flickbaiters (13: 4), Project A (13: 7), SoaR (13: 5) and DIVIZE (13: 7) to get to the final bottom mesh. But here, too, the team was frankly lucky with the opponent, since Teal Seam could not impose a struggle, letting Immortals qualify for the grand final (13: 5).
In turn, Complexity reached the decisive match in the upper bracket, beating Serenity (2: 0), Squirtle Squad (2: 1), DIVIZE (2: 0) and Teal Seam (2: 0). However, the grand final did not turn out in favor of Complexity, as the team could not cope with a lot of pressure and a huge zeal to win the Immortals.
