wippie won't be able to help Version1 in the Reykjavik championship. The 21-year-old Russian player is having trouble getting a visa to Iceland and will miss out on the upcoming VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík. As explained by the coach of Version1, the reason was the coronavirus restrictions, due to which the player was unable to obtain permission to enter the country. It is reported that jammyz, who previously played for the beastcoast team, will play for the team at the tournament.

wippie joined Version1 at the end of April. Together with the Russian, the team sensationally took second place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals and qualified for the final Masters 2 tournament.

jammyz is remembered for playing for beastcoast. Together with the team, the 22-year-old American competed in several major championships, finishing third in the Pulse Series. However, at the end of April, beastcoast decided to disband its lineup, after which jammyz was looking for a new team.

As a reminder, VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík will take place from 24 to 30 May. Ten teams from around the world will compete for 2,350 Champions Tour Points, as well as an as-yet-unnamed prize pool.

Version1's roster for the next tournament is as follows:

  • Zellsis.
  • vanity.
  • effys.
  • penny.
  • jammyz (stand-in).
  • Immi (trainer).
