Valorant Reveals Miks as Agent 30: Abilities, Role, and Release Date
Players won’t have to wait long to try the new agent. Miks will officially arrive in-game on March 18, coinciding with the launch of Season 2026 Act 2.
Riot also released a gameplay trailer highlighting how the agent’s abilities can reshape fights and support teammates in both defensive and offensive situations.
Valorant’s Recent Expansion
The introduction of Miks continues a major year of updates for Valorant. During its fifth anniversary, Riot implemented significant changes across the game, including a transition to a new engine and major adjustments to multiple agents.
Several characters have already joined the roster recently, including Tejo and Veto, while existing agents such as Harbor received substantial reworks. Miks now becomes the latest addition to the growing lineup.
All Miks Abilities
As a Controller, Miks focuses on area control, team support, and crowd disruption, helping teammates secure space during pushes or retakes.
Harmonize
Miks equips Harmonize, targeting an ally and activating a Combat Stim for both players. The buff refreshes whenever either player secures a kill. Players can also use ALT-FIRE to apply the Combat Stim to themselves instead.
M-Pulse
With M-Pulse, Miks deploys a device that emits sound waves after landing. Players can switch between two effects using ALT-FIRE:
- Concuss output that disorients enemies
- Healing output that restores health to nearby allies
This flexibility allows the ability to function as both offensive disruption and supportive sustain.
Waveform
Waveform is Miks’ primary smoke ability, allowing players to deploy smokes using a map-targeting interface.
- On PC, players select smoke locations using FIRE and deploy them with ALT-FIRE.
- On console, the inputs are reversed.
The ability gives teams precise control over sightlines and choke points.
Bassquake (Ultimate)
Miks’ ultimate ability, Bassquake, unleashes a forward shockwave known as Sonic Radiance. The ability:
- Knocks enemies backward
- Deafens affected players
- Applies a slow effect
This combination makes Bassquake especially effective for breaking defensive setups or disrupting enemy pushes.
More Content Arriving in Act 2
Miks isn’t the only addition arriving with the next update. Riot has also revealed several new cosmetic and gameplay additions for Season 2026 Act 2.
These include the Blackthorn Collection, a new bundle of weapon skins, as well as a fresh game mode called Knockout. Additional surprises may still be on the way, as Riot typically introduces more content throughout each act.
How Miks Could Impact the Meta
With his combination of team buffs, healing utility, smokes, and disruptive crowd control, Miks brings a hybrid playstyle that blends traditional Controller tools with supportive mechanics rarely seen in the role.
Whether the agent becomes a staple in competitive play remains to be seen, but early gameplay suggests that Miks could offer teams new strategic options for both coordinated pushes and defensive holds.
