ShahZaM accuses Sentinels of lying after being kicked out of the team
American professional player ShahZaM accused the Sentinels organization of lying. As the 29-year-old esportsman assures, the club lied to him and did not fulfill their promise to leave him in the roster to participate in the partner league.
The story takes us back to last August, when before the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier, the Sentinels included shroud. According to ShahZaM, he agreed with the club on one condition that he would play with a popular streamer in order to get into the squad for the next season.
Oh yes, one time I spun the wheel and it fell on "please play with shroud, we don't care if you win, just make a fuss out of it". We personally guarantee you a place in the franchise if you do so.
As a result, the player took part in the tournament together with shroud, but later the Sentinels said goodbye to ShahZaM and did not leave him in the roster.
Interestingly, ShahZaM's account of those events was dismissed by Rob Moore, Sentinels CEO Rob, who criticized the player's attitude and alleged lack of commitment throughout the 2022 season.
It's strange that since you left, you only talk about how you want to be with the organization." When all of 2022 you acted like you didn't want to be here. It looks like you are back to the focus that was noticeable in 2021. If so, G2 Esports will be in safe hands.
After this response, ShahZaM went on to insist that the Sentinels made the team play with shroud as a "huge favor" and promised him a place in the roster for next season. In turn, Moore reiterated that the organization made no such promise.
Either way, the Sentinels are gearing up for the start of the new season and will soon head to Brazil for the 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour: LOCK//IN São Paulo. In turn, ShahZaM joined the G2 Esports roster, with whom he will certainly want to get into the partner league next season in order to face his former team face to face.
