Rumors: Jovi will lead the Evil Geniuses GC
According to authoritative insider George Geddes, North American esports organization Evil Geniuses is considering Jovi as the head coach for their female VALORANT roster. The former head coach of 100 Thieves will join the new team after a short stint with the European team The Barbers.
Jovi entered the scene back in 2020 when he joined the 100 Thieves coaching staff as an analyst. After fruitful work and several successes, the organization promoted the 28-year-old American specialist to head coach at the beginning of 2022.
However, he failed to take the team to the next level in three months, reaching the final of the Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: February and failing the VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers.
A few months later, Jovi joined OpTic Gaming as an analyst and helped the team win VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík. However, after a month and a half, the American left the organization to enter the FUSION coaching staff. But here, too, the 28-year-old specialist did not last long, only to become a free agent again two weeks later.
Jovi's latest work links him to The Barbers. In three months, under the guidance of an American coach, the team became the winner of the Liquid Open 2022 - Northern EU, Golden Goose #4 and Guild Academy - BEACON Split 2. At the same time, the roster was recently associated with the Guild Esports organization, but this deal will probably not take place.
In turn, Evil Geniuses GC parted ways with former head coach Xp3 last November along with rain and EMUHLEET. Now the club will build a renewed team, which will be led by Jovi.
Potential roster of Evil Geniuses GC in VALORANT discipline:
