Rumors: New map "Jam" will be released in VALORANT on January 10th

According to insider Valorleaks, a new map for VALORANT, codenamed "Jam", will be coming to the game on January 10 with the release of Update 6.0. Players will have the opportunity to test the map earlier, presumably on Friday, January 6th, as it launches on the PBE servers.

Given early rumors, Jam will be sending players to India, as evidenced by previous hints from the developers. The public test servers world map has an icon pointing to India, as well as an audio message from the new Harbor agent talking about the "City of Flowers". In addition, dataminers found many references to the Indian city of Jaipur in the game files.

This gave fans strong reasons to believe that the Jam map would be based on the actual location of Jaipur. In the end, the Indian map will greatly complement the representation of Harbor and the developers' desire to represent different cultures. Also, developer Joe Lansford managed to joke that "new mechanics" will appear in the game with the next map.

Note that with the release of patch 6.0, VALORANT will also rotate maps. In particular, the Split map will return to the game, while Bind and Breeze will be sent for processing. Since only six maps will remain in the active pool, the developers promised to introduce a new location at the beginning of 2023.
