Rumors: RED Canids to part ways with current roster to sign Team Academicos do Tucuruvi

According to The Enemy, Brazilian esports organization RED Canids will be parting ways with their current VALORANT roster in order to sign Academicos do Tucuruvi and secure participation in VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1. The club is reportedly disappointed with the performance of its former assembly in open qualifiers, and now he intends to get into the Challengers league by acquiring a promising team.

However, this deal is fraught with several interesting details. Earlier, the B4 Esports organization had already managed to agree with the roster on the transition, but did not make an official announcement and did not receive confirmation from Riot Games. At the same time, RED Canids fussed to negotiate with a competitor and re-sign the players.

As a result, the parties found a common language for Academicos do Tucuruvi to debut in the new season under the RED Canids tag. The organization received approval for the transfer from Riot Games, as all points were settled between the parties, including the Academicos do Tucuruvi team.

Recall that the Brazilian team was the discovery of the last qualifiers, where they took first place and qualified for VALORANT Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1. The team consists of experienced fighters who previously played for MIBR, Sharks Esports and Los Grandes.

In turn, the RED Canids organization will part ways with its roster, which was signed just recently in November. Since the team failed in open qualifiers, the club does not want to continue cooperation with the players.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Brazil Stage 1 Challengers will take place from January 18 to March 19 online. As part of the championship, eight Brazilian teams will compete for a total prize pool of $76,766.
