The Guard is going to re-sign with trent

According to authoritative insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization The Guard is going to re-sign a contract with trent. It is said that the club intends to retain the young American in order to build a team around him for the Challengers.

trent joined The Guard in January this year. During the season, the American player became the winner of the Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 14 and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, took second place at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier, and also took part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík (7th-8th place).

However, the fate of The Guard remained in limbo, as the North American club was not included in the final list of partners for participation in the American League.

As a result, the organization allowed most of the roster to look for options on the side and actually said goodbye to psalm, Sayaplayer, JonahP, neti and valyn. In addition, mCe left the coaching position to lead the Cloud9 team.

Interestingly, the Sentinels and Evil Geniuses clubs were actively interested in the candidacy of trent, but along the way, the negotiations reached an impasse.

The Guard is going to stay in the discipline and take part in the Challengers series. Here the club intends to climb the TIER-1 stage in order to show itself in the future.

Current VALORANT roster of The Guard:

  • trent
  • Seowulf (manager)
