zekken joined the Sentinels
The North American esports organization Sentinels has unveiled the first new VALORANT roster by signing a contract with zekken. The 17-year-old American will be part of a revamped squad that recently introduced a brand new coaching staff.
zekken has spent the last sixteen months with XSET. Together with the team, the 17-year-old American player became the winner of Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship, Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Philadelphia and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, and also took second place in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 1.
In addition, zekken managed to take part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen (7th-8th place) and VALORANT Champions 2022 (5th-6th place).
The Sentinels are one of ten organizations that have made it into the VALORANT American League, which will be based in Los Angeles next season. They will be joined by four other organizations from North America (Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and NRG Esports), three from Brazil (LOUD, FURIA and MIBR) and two from Latin America (KRU Esports and Leviatán Esports).
The Sentinels are expected to part ways with ShahZaM and TenZ, who are already looking at other opportunities outside of the collective. In addition, the North American club recently introduced a new coaching staff, including SyykoNT and kaplan.
