Some VALORANT Organizations Violate Riot Games Transfer Rules
Jérôme Coupez, CEO of the agency Prodigy, suggested that some VALORANT organizations were trying to rush players into signing contracts in violation of VCT rules. His words are given in the material of the portal Dexerto.
They cannot refuse[tonegotiate]or put pressure on you to accept and sign a contract faster than it should be. No one seems to know about these rules.
With the pre-season transfer window now open, there's a lot of buzz on the scene as the 30 teams that have made it into the international leagues hope to complete the roster process by October 15th. Recall that this date was set by Riot Games for the initial registration of teams for VCT 2023.
In general, the transfer window will only close on February 1st, giving teams a few more months to finalize their squads, but the biggest deals are expected to be made within the next two weeks.
This factor leaves little time for teams to negotiate with players and their organizations. And in accordance with Riot Games' roster rules, the team cannot force a player to accept an offer in "less than 16 business hours." This rule is intended to discourage players from rushing into agreements that may not be in their best interest.
Jérôme Coupez, CEO of the agency Prodigy, has suggested that some VALORANT organizations are trying to circumvent this rule in order to force players to close deals as quickly as possible and speed up the roster formation process.
