Global Esports intends to sign a roster of 10 players
Indian esports organization Global Esports has announced its intention to sign a 10-player VALORANT roster at once. In his address, the head of the club's esports department said that Global Esports plans to leave the current Indian five, as well as sign four players from the Asia region and one from Europe or America.
The final six-member team will be determined based on the team's performance on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Kickoff Tournament, which will take place at the beginning of the season in Brazil.
It is noteworthy that at the beginning of the week there was information that the Global Esports organization was considering the possibility of a merger with Bleed Esports. However, publisher Riot Games has vetoed the merger of the two clubs, as well as other similar deals in the scene.
According to the Riot Games partner roster rules, teams must maintain an active roster of "at least six people". However, they may also contain up to four substitutes who are part of the reserve squad.
Teams are allowed to move players from the reserve roster to the main roster, provided that Riot Games is informed of the change "at least one day prior to the team's first match of the week for the player to be eligible to play in any League games that week."
Recall that the Global Esports organization was among the partners to participate in the VCT 2023 in Asia. The Indian club will compete in the same League alongside ZETA DIVISION, T1, Gen.G Esports, DRX, DetonatioN Gaming, Team Secret, Rex Regum Qeon, Paper Rex and Talon Esports.
VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Pacific League will take place from March 26 to May 28 in Seoul. This will be the first full-fledged championship that will open up a new VALORANT esports ecosystem to the audience.
