NAVI plans to sign FunPlus Phoenix VALORANT roster
According to insider George Geddes, the Ukrainian esports organization NAVI is in talks to transfer the FunPlus Phoenix roster to VALORANT. The clubs are currently in an advanced stage of negotiations. At the same time, ardiis may not make it to the final roster, wanting to explore other proposals, but NAVI hopes that they can get the Latvian sniper.
The day before, the NAVI organization presented a welcome video announcing its acceptance to the list of VCT 2023 partners for Europe. Many fans managed to notice a fragment with a T-shirt signed by ANGE1.
If the deal is completed without ardiis, NAVI will sign SUYGETSU, Zyppan, ANGE1, Shao and head coach d00mbr0s. In addition, there are enough free agents on the market who can complete the squad before the start of the new season.
The original line-up of FunPlus Phoenix was formed at the end of 2020. Having undergone minor changes at the end of last season, the European team has become the strongest representative of its region.
In the last nine months alone, FunPlus Phoenix has won VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, and placed second in VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. In addition, most recently, the team took fourth place at the end of VALORANT Champions 2022, losing in the lower bracket to DRX with a score of 0:2.
Recall that the NAVI organization got into the European League, where Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, FUT Esports, BBL Esports, Fnatic, Team Liquid, KOI, Team Heretics and Giants Gaming will also play.
