G2 Esports Disbands Full VALORANT Roster
The European esports organization G2 Esports is disbanding its full VALORANT roster. The players made the announcement on their social media, noting that they are now allowed to explore options to continue their careers. It is obvious that such a decision was caused by the club not being included in any partner league for the next season.
The latest G2 Esports news has allowed me to explore options for the upcoming franchise season. I want to represent a partner team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa or North America, - wrote AvovA
Even though I still have a contract with G2 Esports, they let me explore my options for the upcoming season,” mixwell wrote.
Due to G2 Esports not being franchised, I have now been allowed to explore my options. Now I am open to offers and ready to move if necessary — Meddo reported
The latest iteration of the G2 Esports VALORANT roster formed at the end of last year. Last season, the European team reached the finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, and also took part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, where they took 5-6th place.
Nevertheless, the season can hardly be called successful for G2 Esports, as the team did not realize their ambitions and failed in the final segment. The pinnacle of the club's problems was the recent scandal involving Carlos Rodriguez, the organization's CEO. According to rumors, this was the reason why the organization did not get into the number of partners, since it aimed at two places at once - in Europe and North America.
List of partner organizations for the European League: Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, FUT Esports, BBL Esports, Natus Vincere, Fnatic, Team Liquid, KOI, Team Heretics and Giants Gaming.
