m1cks leaves Cloud9 and returns to CS:GO
m1cks announced his resignation as Cloud9 assistant coach and expressed his desire to return to the CS:GO discipline. The American specialist announced this on social networks.
I am no longer part of Cloud9. My interests, goals, and overall "experience" that I want out of life have changed dramatically over the past year, but I appreciate the time I spent there. Discovering new opportunities in CS:GO, I will be available for the upcoming Major qualifiers. Re-opening myself to CS, but I'm learning a lot of things outside of esports as well.
m1cks spent several years in the CS:GO discipline, working as an analyst and coach for Bravado Gaming, Spacestation, Rogue, Cloud9 and Nordavind. However, at the end of last year, the American announced his move to VALORANT. Here, the specialist spent several months looking for work before joining Cloud9 as an assistant coach.
For six months, m1cks helped the team take third place in the MCT - MEL Valorant Premiership - Season 3 Stage 1 and MCT - MEL Valorant Premiership - Season 3 Stage 2, as well as get into the TOP-4 at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier.
Currently, the North American team is in an intermediate position. Firstly, it is not clear whether the organization will be able to get into the number of partners for the next competitive season. Secondly, Cloud9 still can't decide how to move forward on the stage.
From now on, Cloud9's VALORANT roster is as follows:
- mitch
- leaves
- Xeppaa
- vanity
- curry
- JamezIRL, vexel and vapen (coaching staff)
