NYFU Parts Ways With VALORANT Team General Manager
North American esports organization NYFU is parting ways with the VALORANT team's general manager. This was announced by Warden, who was a functionary of the club, and in the past - the head coach of the squad.
Unfortunately, NYFU decided not to renew my contract. I want to thank the organization for believing that I helped build their VALORANT team over the past two years. It was incredible to work together with the staff and management. I want to thank all the players and g0g1 who made this trip so amazing. In the future, I will look for positions as a coach or team manager. I have over 20 years of experience working with professional gaming teams as a player, coach and manager.
Warden has been working in the esports field for several years, as the American had previously had a rich career as a CS:GO player and coach.
At the end of 2020, the 37-year-old American led the Andbox VALORANT team, with whom he managed to win NSG x Renegades Invitational, Nerd Street Gamers - Monthly November, NSG: Winter Championship - Open 1 and SMU X QOR Cup in a year and a half, and also get into the TOP-3 at Nerd Street Gamers: 2021 Monthly March and Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship.
However, in March, along with the organization's rebranding, Warden left his coaching position to become the team's general manager. As a result, the organization invited some of the famous esportsmen, but never managed to succeed. Now it is unclear whether the club will remain in the discipline, given the future changes on the competitive track.
The current VALORANT NYFU roster is as follows:
- Oderus
- YaBoiDre
- neptune
- JSUNG
- g0g1 (head coach)
