Hiko and Ethan may leave 100 Thieves
According to insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization 100 Thieves may terminate the services of Hiko and Ethan. The team has already been training without star players, thus planning a complete overhaul ahead of the start of the next split starting on May 5th.
Hiko is the founder of the original line-up of 100 Thieves, formed in June 2020. During this time, the 32-year-old American esportsman helped the team win First Strike North America and VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 1, as well as get into the top three at the JBL Quantum Cup, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3, VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 1, VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier and Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: February.
In turn, Ethan joined the team in February 2022, having also moved from the CS:GO discipline, where he played for Evil Geniuses.
The last tournament for Hiko and Ethan as part of 100 Thieves was the Proving Grounds $20k - Spring 2022, following which the team took 5-8th place, losing in the quarterfinals to SoaR.
The next tournament for 100 Thieves will be the open qualifier for VALORANT Champions Tour: NA Stage 2 Challengers, which is scheduled for May 5th. The team reportedly trained for a while with Will, stellar and Derrek. While the latter two are close to signing contracts with the organization, Will's future remains unknown.
However, the final squad for next season is yet to be announced. In the near future, the organization will shed light on its future.
Currently, the 100 Thieves VALORANT roster is as follows:
- hiko.
- asuna.
- Ethan.
- bang (rent).
- sgares (head coach).
- Mikes (assistant coach).
