Riot Games issued a warning to G2 Esports and Movistar Riders

Riot Games has issued an official warning to G2 Esports and Movistar Riders for violating Clause 7.2.11 of the Global Competition Policy. It is reported that the teams violated the rules of communication, according to which the coach does not have the right to communicate with the players during official matches outside of technical and tactical breaks.

Recall that G2 Esports took part in the VCT 2022: Europe Stage 1 Challengers - Closed Qualifier 1. During the first meeting against Team Vitality, the coach of the pipsoN team was convicted of using means of communication with his players outside the established framework. Further investigation by Riot Games found that this was an "isolated case" that did not result in a competitive advantage. Thus, G2 Esports just received an official warning and will not be subject to sanctions.

A few minutes later, Riot Games issued a second warning to the Movistar Riders team, guided by the same rules. It is noted that as part of the VCT 2022: Europe Stage 1 Challengers - Open Qualifier 2 coach LRojo was caught using means of communication with his players outside the established framework.

As a result, Riot Games applied penalties to Movistar Riders, depriving the team of three points in the upcoming VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Spain: Rising Stage 1.
