Virtus.pro and Team Spirit scrapped the idea of putting together VALORANT rosters

The Russian esports organizations Virtus.pro and Team Spirit abandoned the idea to assemble rosters in the VALORANT discipline. This is reported by journalist Bo Hoogland, who spoke for the first time about the interest of organizations to enter the stage.

According to the journalist, the leadership of the organizations believe that the scene is too chaotic and does not deserve the risk. In particular, the reason for this decision was the results of two qualifiers for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers in the CIS. Recall that according to the results of the closed qualifiers, FunPlus Phoenix and NAVI got to the main tournament from the region.

Recall that earlier the journalist said that the organizations Virtus.pro and Team Spirit intended to assemble rosters in the VALORANT discipline. At that time, the clubs considered players from the CIS, while Virtus.pro was not opposed to signing the Polish roster. At the same time, the teams and players who participated in the negotiations with the organizations were not disclosed.

However, later information appeared that Virtus.pro wanted to sign the FishkaVTom roster, and also showed interest in the 5MOKES team. However, none of the listed rosters managed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, which likely pushed Virtus.pro to abandon their original plans.
