100 Thieves said goodbye to steel
North American esports organization 100 Thieves said goodbye to steel, who previously played for the VALORANT team. The organization reportedly terminated the player's contract, allowing him to join the new team for free.
The 31-year-old Canadian player joined the 100 Thieves in December last year, taking the reins straight away. Steel has achieved significant success with the team over the year, including winning First Strike North America, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 1, finishing second in VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 and VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, as well as being in the TOP 4 at the last VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.
However, at the end of September, 100 Thieves transferred the captain to the bench, after which they finished third in the VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier. A similar result did not suit the organization, which continued to purge the composition. As a result, dicey and b0i, as well as coach FrosT, left the team. At the same time, there are more and more rumors about the imminent return of nitr0 to CS: GO, where the player will reunite with EliGE and NAF as part of Team Liquid.
The current roster of 100 Thieves is as follows:
- Hiko.
- nitr0.
- Asuna.
- Ethan.
- seven (substitute).
