When Does Rocket League Season 18 Start?

Psyonix has confirmed that Rocket League Season 18 will officially kick off on March 14. The update will introduce a brand-new arena, new banners, the "Breathe" player anthem, and new mutators.

However, it’s not just the cosmetics that have players excited—mutators will allow the community to create unique gameplay experiences, making Season 18 even more engaging.

New Feature: Ping Sound for Goalposts

We’ve all been there—your team starts celebrating what looks like a perfect goal, only to realize the ball bounced off the crossbar or goalpost instead. To make sure no one is caught off guard, Rocket League is introducing a new Ping sound effect.

From now on, whenever the ball hits the goalpost or crossbar, a distinct Ping sound will echo through the arena, letting players know that the shot didn’t go in. This small but impactful addition will help avoid awkward celebrations and missed plays.

Voice Reporting Comes to Rocket League

Rocket League is introducing Voice Reporting, a feature already used in Fortnite, to help maintain a safe and respectful in-game environment.

This feature allows players to take action against others who engage in abusive voice communication. In addition to blocking, muting, and reporting offenders, players can now submit audio evidence of violations.

How Voice Reporting Works

  • When you report a player, the game records and submits the last 5 minutes of voice chat as evidence.
  • Reports must be filed within 5 minutes of the incident for the best chance of action being taken.
  • Epic Games cannot access voice chat audio unless a voice report is submitted.

How to Report Inappropriate Conduct in Voice Chat

  1. Open the Sidebar and go to the Voice Chat tab.
  2. Press the "Report Conversation" button.
  3. On the next screen, press "Submit Report" to send it for review.
  4. Close the screen and return to your game.

Tournament Rewards & Final Rankings

As always, Season 18 will include tournament rewards, which will be based on players' final rankings at the end of the season.

With just a few days left before the new season launches, Rocket League fans still have time to climb the ranks and secure better tournament rewards.

Stay tuned for more updates as Rocket League Season 18 kicks off soon! 🚀⚽
