Rocket League Adds Mandatory Anti-Cheat — Mods Restricted & New Features Introduced
Rocket Leagueis introducingmandatory Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) for all online modes on PC, marking a major step toward improving competitive integrity.
Anti-Cheat Now Required
With this update, EAC will run automatically in the background during online matches. The system is fully compatible with Steam Deck and Linux, ensuring broad platform support.
However, one key change affects modding:Mods will no longer function in online play when anti-cheat is active. They will remain доступні only in training modes, offline matches, and LAN sessions.
New Features Added
Alongside the anti-cheat implementation, developers continue to expand in-game functionality with features players have been requesting. This update includes:
- Team Colors in Free Play, allowing for more customizable practice sessions
- A new StatsAPI for broadcasters, improving data access for streams and esports coverage
These additions build on earlier updates such as MMR display and randomized training tools.
A Broader Strategy
The introduction of EAC is part of a larger initiative to address ongoing issues within the game, including:
- Bot usage
- Account trading
- Smurfing
Final Overview
By combining anti-cheat enforcement with quality-of-life improvements, the update aims to create a more balanced and competitive environment while continuing to support the game’s growing esports scene.
