Rocket League Winter Major to be held in San Diego
Developer Psyonix has released the details of the 2022-23 RLCS Winter Major. As a result, the Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 - Winter Split Major will take place from April 6 to 9 in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center.
The event will take place as part of the DreamHack festival in San Diego. In the last three days of the competition (April 7-9), the organizers will open the stands for spectators, launching the sale of tickets for the competition.
Format of the winter split (including the major): group stage with a round robin (four participants in each group) - twelve teams in the playoffs with a single elimination. At the end of the group stage, the worst teams of their quartets will be eliminated, while the winners will go directly to the quarterfinals. The teams that take places from 2nd to 3rd will start their journey from the first round of the playoffs.
All Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 - Winter Split Major matches will be held in BO5 format. However, the grand final of the competition will take place in the BO7 format.

- 1st place: $100,000 + 40 points
- 2nd place: $60,000 + 32 points
- 3rd-4th place: $27,000 + 24 points
- 5th-8th place: $12,000 + 16 points
- 9th-12th place: $9,000 + 10 points
- 13th-16th place: $3,000 + 6 points
Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 - Winter Split Major will take place from April 6 to 9 in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center. As part of the championship, 16 participants (5 from North America, 5 from Europe, 2 from Oceania, 2 from Latin America, 1 each from Asia-Pacific and the Middle East) will compete for a prize pool of $310,000, as well as ranking points.
