Tadpole is ending his esports career

Tadpole has announced his retirement from professional esports. The 24-year-old player from Wales announced this on his Twitter, adding that he was ready to consider offers for the position of coach or manager.

Retiring from the professional Rocket League, but open to offers as a coach and team manager, also open to other opportunities in eSports. Today I announce my retirement as a professional player after 5 years of semi-pro and pro play. The Commonwealth Games in Wales will be my last official tournament.

Overall, the RLCS XI season was unspeakably disappointing, and I sincerely believed that Wolves Esports could be the revival my career needed, instead it turned into a constant spiral of disappointing results. Those who know me well enough know that with each of these disappointments, I had to ask myself if I was good enough.

In April, I suddenly lost a relationship that was very special to me, it was nobody's fault, but watching it collapse at the same time as my career led to a spiral that began to destroy me as a person, where over the past two For months, every single day was a constant struggle with anxiety, depression, and my own thoughts. I'm slowly getting better and that's certainly not the reason I'm leaving the game behind, but I'm at a point in my life where I need to heal a lot and start a new chapter and I don't think my playing career is more suited to this.

I have always said that when I am done competing I would love the opportunity to coach in Rocket League, over 5 years of playing I have gained a wealth of knowledge that I believe I can use to be successful like so many other former players. currently coaches teams at TIER-1 level.

I will also be looking into opportunities to work with organizations that would like to join Rocket League in the near future or in the future.

Recall that Tadpole appeared on the scene in 2017. In five years, the 24-year-old has won Rocket Baguette: The Play, Renegade Cup EU: Rocket Baguette Grand Prix - Finals and RLCS Season X - Fall: The Grid EU - Week 1.

The last professional team in Tadpole's career was Wolves Esports, for which he played since October last year, having managed to take second place in the Legion Regions - Finals.
