Netflix’s The Witcher Is Confirmed to End This Year After 5 Seasons
When Netflix announced they’re working on a new TV show based on The Witcher franchise, the gamers were super excited, considering there was no modern and big-budget adaptation at the moment yet. The series had all the chances to be Netflix's next hit, but right now we see it’s not the way it is.
The Witcher series had superb potential, especially with Henry Cavill playing Geralt of Rivia; however, the actor has left the project after a third season, and he was replaced by Liam Hemsworth. It was revealed Henry Cavill was dropped from The Witcher TV series due to creative differences with the production team, and, to be honest, since Season 1 was released in 2019, critics and viewers both disliked the series a lot, and there are solid reasons for that—distortion of source material, miscasts, and awful storytelling.
However, thankfully, it ends soon, as The Witcher’s Season 5, which is expected to release somewhere in 2026 with no official release date yet, will be the last season of this saga. It was actually confirmed by Netflix, as the description of the series on the company’s website starts with the words “The time of the end is nigh."

Speaking of The Witcher video games, it is likely we will get /gaming/news/31714/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-new-dlc-setting-reportedly-rM-PJXrcF a new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releasing this year that will set up The Witcher 4.
