Ubisoft Brings Back the Rengoku Event in Rainbow Six Siege X This July

Ubisoft has officially announced the return of the Rengoku Event, marking it as the second limited-time event of Operation Daybreak in Rainbow Six Siege X. The event will go live on July 30, just weeks after the conclusion of the Showdown Event.

Set in a fiery reimagining of the Skyscraper map, the Rengoku Event delivers an intense 5v5 Secure Area mode. There’s no friendly fire, only one 10-minute round, and the first team to collect 300 favor points claims victory.

What sets Rengoku apart is its dramatic gameplay twist: operators cannot use their standard weapons. Instead, they’re equipped with shotguns and a set of unique elemental kunai, which include poison, flash, explosive, and pushback variants. This setup encourages aggressive close-range combat and creative playstyles.

Originally introduced on April 26, 2022, and running through May 17, 2022, Rengoku made a brief return the following year from June 28 to July 19, 2023. Now, it’s back once again for a fresh round of chaotic action.

Like other limited-time events, Rengoku also brings exclusive cosmetic rewards that players can unlock using Renown or R6 Credits. But this year, there’s something extra special: a Mythical weapon skin for Iana and Ash’s G36C. It’s unclear whether this skin will be part of a Mythical Bundle or released as a Memento item, but either way, it’s a must-have for collectors.
