Luminosity Gaming Exits Rainbow Six Siege — Again

In a surprising development, Luminosity Gaming has exited the Rainbow Six Siege scene for the fourth time, leaving its roster unsupported just days before the start of the North America League (NAL) 2025. Unlike previous exits, this departure was not officially announced by the organization, but rather disclosed by one of the players, who revealed on social media that the team is actively seeking a new home.

🔁 A Pattern of Sudden Departures

Luminosity first entered the North American R6 Siege scene in June 2019. Since then, the organization has repeatedly joined and left the game, with each exit catching the community off guard. However, this latest withdrawal is particularly jarring, given its timing—just a week before the new NAL season kicks off.

Adding to the speculation, Luminosity’s in-game team skins were removed from the Rainbow Six store two days ago. This aligns with Ubisoft’s decision to retain only partnered organizations within the R6 Share program for the 2025 season.

🆓 Student of the Game LFO: A Team Without a Banner

Despite the loss of organizational backing, the roster remains determined. The players have announced their intent to compete in NAL 2025 under the name:“Student of the Game LFO” — with “LFO” standing for Looking For Organization.

🔹 Current Lineup:

  • Landon "Beeno" Ashby
  • Eduardo "Eddy" Diaz
  • Kees "epic" Hudson
  • Mason "Fenz" Fender
  • Julian "Kixhro" Velasquez
  • Anthony "Froshii" Nassar (Coach)

This will be the only unaffiliated roster in the upcoming NAL season.

💼 Elsewhere in the League…

While Luminosity bows out, other teams are making strategic moves. ENVY has officially signed the 2025 Challenger Series champions, the roster previously known as JJ and Co. You can find more details about this signing in our related coverage.

🤔 What This Means for Rainbow Six Esports

Luminosity's repeated exits highlight the ongoing instability and uncertainty faced by players in the Rainbow Six professional ecosystem. The lack of long-term support raises concerns about sustainability, especially when organizations withdraw without notice.

Still, this shift offers a fresh opportunity for the Student of the Game LFO lineup. With a full season ahead, strong performances could help them prove their value and attract new organizational interest—perhaps turning this setback into a stepping stone.
