FURIA is officially out of Rainbow Six
The Brazilian esports organization FURIA has officially confirmed its departure from the Rainbow Six discipline. In his address, Jaime Padua, the owner of the club, outlined a number of reasons why FURIA decided to abandon the competitive scene and also thanked the players for their cooperation.
We want to inform everyone who has been following FURIA in Rainbow Six since 2020 that we have decided to retire the unit. This does not mean that we will never return to the discipline, because we are always open to reconsider our decisions, but it's time to say goodbye.
Performance management in an esports organization is a tricky business, perhaps more complex than most people realize. Balancing the various variables in the ecosystem is what makes the game sustainable.
Our huge thanks to everyone who worked at FURIA in the Rainbow Six department, from the athletes, the technical staff, to the rest of the staff, who have always been fantastic. Athletes remain tied to FURIA until we find a new organization that can take over this promising team. I am sure that they can still bring a lot of joy to the whole region.
In his statement, the functionary explained that the organization is guided by several principles that Rainbow Six does not comply with. In particular, the discipline is not suitable for content creation, and also does not allow you to create a coherent ecosystem around the game.
The FURIA organization appeared on the scene in 2020. For three seasons, the Brazilian club tried to stick to one backbone, making point changes in the composition. As a legacy in the discipline, FURIA became the winner of Gamers Without Borders 2021 - LATAM and Copa do Brasil - Season 2022: Stage 3, and also got into the top three at Copa Elite Six - Season 2021: Stage 3, Copa Elite Six - Season 2022: Stage 1, Brasileirão 2022 - Stage 2 and Brasileirão 2022 - Finals.
In addition, the team took part in the Six Invitational 2021 (9th-12th place), Six Mexico Major 2021 (5th-8th place), Six Sweden Major 2021 (13th-16th place), Six Invitational 2022 (9th-12th place), Six Charlotte Major 2022 (9th-12th place) and Six Berlin Major 2022 (5th-8th place).
