New PUBG Americas Series Announced
The PUBG developers have announced a new tournament series PUBG Americas Series for players from North and Latin America. During the upcoming season, participants will compete in online tournaments that will provide ranking points and invites to major international championships. The overall structure of the PUBG Americas Series will be broken down into Open Qualifiers, Regional Playoffs, and Grand Finals.
PUBG Americas Series - Phase 1 will begin in March, while the second tournament of the series is scheduled for the end of 2023. The first stage of the PUBG Americas Series starts on February 25 with open qualifiers for North and Latin America, after which the regional playoffs will take place. The top 16 teams from both sub-regions will compete in the PAS1 Grand Finals, which will take place from March 24-26. The winner of this tournament will receive a direct ticket to PUBG Global Series 1 scheduled for April.
As part of the PUBG Americas Series - Phase 1 Grand Finals, participants will compete for a prize pool of $100,000, PGC Ranking Points and one ticket to PUBG Global Series 1. Thus, during the season, teams from North and Latin America will compete for tickets to PUBG Global Championship 2023. In addition, another championship will be announced later, where PGC ranking points will be played.
It is reported that the PUBG Americas Series - Phase 2 champion will receive a direct ticket to the PUBG Global Championship 2023. The organizers promised to provide more information on the distribution of places from North and Latin America to the final championship of the season in the near future.
