Overwatch 2 may be delayed
An insider known by the nickname Metro, who is trustworthy as he previously published information that turned out to be correct, claims that Overwatch 2 will not be released on time. The reason for this is obviously COVID-19, which has forced all workers to do their jobs from home.
According to Metro, the Overwatch 2 developers will not be releasing the game as part of the BlizzConline as originally intended. Instead, they will likely show only new heroes and a few competitive features, with an exact date postponed once again.
Overwatch 2 debuted at BlizzCon 2019. Blizzard announced that support for the original Overwatch will continue after the game launches, while the sequel will receive a story-driven single player campaign and several new PvP modes. In addition, it was reported that a crossover could be possible between Overwatch and Overwatch 2, but how this will be implemented is still unknown.
BlizzConline will take place from February 19th to 21st. As you might guess from the name of the event, Blizzard's annual launch will take place online.
