Faker to Be First Inductee into League of Legends Hall of Legends with Commemorative Ahri Skin
Esports icon Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is set to be the inaugural inductee into the newly established Hall of Legends. To commemorate his unparalleled achievements in the game, an Ahri skin will be launched, as revealed by BigBadBear on YouTube.
This skin will feature a dominant red palette with golden accents, embodying a "Glorious vibe." It is anticipated to be one of the most expensive skins ever released in League of Legends, potentially introducing a new tier of skin rarity.
Riot Games unveiled the League of Legends Hall of Fame in January 2024, committing to celebrate each induction both virtually within the game and physically in the real world. Selections for this elite group are made by a jury comprising LoL veterans, active players, commentators, and regional experts.
Faker, arguably the most celebrated figure in esports and not just League of Legends, added to his legendary status by clinching his fourth world championship at Worlds 2023, a feat unmatched in the history of the game. Despite his desire to have an Ahri skin since his initial world championship victory, Faker's choice was previously overlooked due to his non-use of the character in competition.
