Earlier today, Riot Games dropped a new video on the official Wild Rift YouTube channel, featuring Faker himself explaining how to play Ryze, breaking down the champion’s strengths, and offering tips straight from the legend.

🎓 Mastering Ryze with Faker

In the video, Faker shares his expert knowledge on Ryze, a champion best known for being a late-game powerhouse who thrives on high-speed spell combos. While Ryze has struggled to find a consistent place in the PC version’s meta due to his slow scaling, he’s still a frequent pick in skilled hands—appearing in 40 pro matches recently, thanks to the introduction of Fearless Draft mode.

In Wild Rift, Ryze’s kit has been reimagined for mobile play. He remains a strong laner and teamfighter, with excellent farming and area damage thanks to Spell Flux, which spreads damage to multiple enemies.

🔹 Basic Damage Combo:

  • Spell Flux → Rune Prison → Overload → Spell Flux → Overload

This sequence maximizes damage and ensures you land crucial skillshots while enemies are rooted by Rune Prison.

Ryze’s Overload ability also boosts his movement speed when chaining spells, making him ideal for kiting and clutch plays. His ultimate, Realm Warp, is similar to the PC version but now grants bonus movement speed to all allies after teleporting—perfect for aggressive rotations or surprise ganks.

⚠️ Challenging But Rewarding

While Ryze offers massive potential, Faker emphasized that the champion rewards skillful play:

“Ryze scales hard with skill, so the better you get, the stronger he becomes.”

That means he’s not the easiest pick for beginners—but in the right hands, Ryze can carry games and dominate fights with surgical precision.

🗓️ Ryze’s Wild Rift Release Date

Ryze will officially join Wild Rift on April 17, with the launch of Patch 6.1. He’ll be released alongside Nocturne and Zilean, adding even more depth and diversity to the champion roster.

🏆 Faker’s Ever-Growing Legacy

Faker, currently competing with T1 in the LCK, continues to make history. Just last week, he hit his 1000th professional game in the LCK, a monumental achievement that cements his legendary status not just in League of Legends, but in the entire esports world.

Stay tuned as Ryze warps into Wild Rift—and if you want to master him, there’s no better teacher than the Unkillable Demon King himself.
