LEC Finals 2023 will be held in Montpellier

Riot Games has officially revealed the location of the LEC Finals 2023. The main championship of the season in Europe will be held in Montpellier at the Sud de France Arena. The event will take place in August 2023, with specific dates to be announced later.

LEC Finals 2023 is the biggest event of the calendar year in Europe and a celebration of the LEC season, giving fans the opportunity to come together and watch the best players in the region make history. With such a large and vibrant fan base in France, we are excited to bring our road show back to the country for the first time since 2017 with our showcase event in Montpellier in the Occitania region. The city and region have been extremely impressive throughout the host city selection process and their passion and commitment to growing the gaming and esports industry was very evident.

The winners of the winter, spring and summer splits qualify for the LEC Finals 2023. In addition, three teams will qualify for the championship based on their position in the season's standings. As the new LEC 2023 season has already kicked off, the best teams in Europe have been given competitive motivation to win the winter split.

As part of the LEC Finals 2023, participants will compete for three direct tickets to the 2023 World Championship, as well as a slot in the Worlds Qualifying Series. In addition, teams will be offered a total prize pool of €160,000.
