Lwx will continue to play for FPX at LPL Spring 2023
Title Chinese club Fun Plus Phoenix has announced changes in the composition of the League of Legends. The club has signed a new deal with Lin "Lwx" Wei-Xiang, who will remain with the team for at least one more season.
24-year-old Lin Wei-Xiang started his professional career relatively recently. He has been playing at a high level since 2016, when Tan Chi Sa Gaming became the first team in his career. As part of the Lwx team, he took the TOP-12 at the LSPL 2016 Summer, where he was spotted by Newbee scouts.
With Newbee, the player in the position of the shooter spent 5 months. The best result for this period was 3rd place at the LPL 2017 Summer - Group Stage, after which the team took 6th place in the playoffs of the summer split.
Lwx became an FPX player in December 2017 and has been a permanent member of the team ever since. For many years of cooperation, Lwx as part of FPX has reached maximum heights by winning the LPL Spring 2019, LPL Summer 2019 and becoming the world champion by winning the Worlds 2019.
In the 2022 season, FPX's performance left much to be desired. The club finished in 10th place at the LPL Spring 2022 and took a similar place at the LPL Summer 2022.
