2019 World Champion Doinb Leaves LNG
The Chinese club LNG has announced changes to the roster. Kim "Doinb" Tae-sang leaves the position of the active roster player.
The 25-year-old South Korean midfielder began his career in March 2015. The first club Doinb played for was the Qiao Gu Reapers, with whom Kim placed 2nd in the 2015 LPL and won the 2016 Spring LPPL.
Later, the Korean legionnaire joined the Newbee team, where he played from May to November 2016. While playing for Newbee, he became the champion of the LSPL 2016 Summer.
After Newbee, Doinb moved to the title club JD Gaming, where he spent half a year in 2017. However, Kim Tae-sang failed to achieve success on the big stage: the main achievement was the 2nd place at the hybrid NEST 2017.
Doinb first came to fame after joining FunPlus Phoenix in 2019. Playing for the “phoenixes”, the mid player opened up to the full, which led to championships at major events: in a year, Doinb became the champion of LPL Spring and LPL Summer 2019, and also triumphantly won Worlds 2019, defeating G2 Esports in the grand final.
Doinb spent the last year with LNG Esports. As part of the Chinese club, the player did not come close to the peak performance of the FunPlus Phoenix times. The biggest result of the 25-year-old South Korean performer in the LNG was the 3rd place in the LPL 2022 Regional Finals.
It is not yet known where the star mid player plans to continue his career. Over the years of playing on the competitive scene, the player has won ~ $397,226.
