Rumors: Mid-Season Invitational 2023 will be held in London

According to the esports-news portal, the first major international League of Legends event in 2023 will be held in London, the capital of Great Britain. For the country, this will be the first experience of holding a large-scale League of Legends championship.

The arena for the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 could be Wembley Stadium, home of the England national football team and venue for major sporting events. However, the information has not yet been confirmed, and therefore it is worth waiting for announcements directly from Riot Games.

Mid-Season Invitational is a global tournament, the first major international event held every season. The championship takes place between the spring and summer splits of the regional leagues.

According to the standard, winners from 12 regions are selected for the Mid-Season Invitational: LJL, LCS, LEC, TCL, LCO, PCS, CBLOL, LPL, VCS, LCK, LLA and LCL. Last year, there were no representatives of the Continental League (LCL) at the title tournament, which was canceled due to the invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.

In 2022, Busan, South Korea, became MSI's home. The group stage was held at the Busan Esports Arena, and the Rumble Stage and playoffs at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center.

The winner of the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 is the Royal Never Give Up team. The Chinese club beat T1 in the grand final of the South Korean MSI.
