Cloud9 introduced the updated League of Legends roster
The North American esports organization Cloud9 has unveiled an updated League of Legends roster by signing a contract with Diplex. In addition, changes have taken place on the coaching bridge, as explained by Jack Etienne, the club's general manager.
In the official announcement, the functionary talked about all the major changes to Cloud9's starting roster and explained that after the end of the year, the entire team sat down to discuss what changes they think are needed to improve their results next year.
We had a situation where almost every player was satisfied with the performance of their teammates. Of course there were things we could improve, but they really wanted to run it again. The only change we ended up making was only in the mid lane.
The team's new midlaner is Diplex, who previously played for Vitality.Bee. Here, the 19-year-old German spent two seasons, winning the Coupe de France 2022, and also getting into the TOP-3 at the end of the LFL Summer 2021, LFL 2021: Championship Finals and European Masters Spring 2022. Note that in Cloud9 the mid liner replaced Jensen, who, is rumored to become part of Dignitas.
Finally, mithy, who has worked for the organization in the past, has been appointed as the new head coach. However, the 28-year-old Spanish specialist spent the last season at the helm of 100 Thieves, finishing second at the LCS Spring 2022.
In addition, Max Waldo, who worked as the head coach last season, is now the position coach. Tails moves from the academy to the main team, who will become an assistant coach.
Updated Cloud9 roster for the League of Legends discipline:
- Fudge
- Blaber
- Diplex
- Berserker
- Zven
- mithy (head coach)
- Max Waldo, Veigarv2 and Tails (coaching staff)
