Riot Games issued a decision according to which it disqualified 14 players from the Turkish Academy League for participating in match fixing. It is noteworthy that some of the esportsmen received long-term disqualifications from the professional League of Legends.

It is reported that due to the severity of the incidents and the evidence available to Riot Games, back in May, these players were temporarily suspended from participation in all Riot Games-sanctioned competitions so that the organizers could take all necessary steps to conduct disciplinary proceedings.

After conducting a thorough investigation over several months, as part of the behavior described in the TCL rulebook, giving involved players the right to be heard, Riot Games found substantial evidence that several players were involved in a broader betting scheme in order to manipulate matches to profit from betting on match results or in-game events.

As part of this scheme, they actively recruited other players, which also included hosting matches for monetary gain during both the 2022 Spring and Summer Splits.

As a result, 361efe was banned for five years, while chr1sz and Poguee were banned from the competitive scene for four years. In addition, Crasia, CrawL and Oguzkhan were suspended for three years, while the remaining esports players received minor sanctions, up to several months.

It is noteworthy that after the investigation, Riot Games referred the situation to the "relevant authorities" in Turkey, so that they themselves impose their punishment if they see fit.
