MAD Lions said goodbye to their topliner
The Spanish eSports organization MAD Lions has announced changes to the League of Legends roster, saying goodbye to its top liner Armut. Note that the 23-year-old Turkish esportsman spent two seasons in the team and won several LEC championships.
Farewell, Armut. Since 2020, Irfan has helped us reach the World Championship, MSI and LEC twice thanks to his dominant front line play. Thank you for your incredible dedication and for always entertaining us!
Armut joined MAD Lions in November 2020 after moving from SuperMassive eSports. In two seasons, the 23-year-old Turkish esportsman helped the team win LEC Spring 2021 and LEC Summer 2021, as well as reach the semi-finals of the Mid-Season Invitational 2021 and get into the TOP-8 at the 2021 World Championship.
However, last season the team's results were not so impressive, while MAD Lions was only remembered for the fourth place in the LEC Summer 2022, as well as a failure in the 2022 World Championship.
The last two years have been a great experience, I would like to thank everyone, especially the coaching staff and management for making us the best version of ourselves, wrote Armut
Note that this is not the first change in the composition of MAD Lions after the end of the season. In early November, the Spanish club also said goodbye to UNF0RGIVEN, who had played for the team for the past year, and also parted ways with coach Kaas.
Updated MAD Lions roster for the League of Legends discipline:
- Elyoya
- Nisqy
- Kaiser
- Mac (head coach)
- Pad and Reignover (coaching staff)
- Aagie (analyst)
