KOI close to buying Rogue slot in LEC

According to BLIX.GG, the Spanish esports organization KOI is close to reaching an agreement with Rogue to acquire a slot in the LEC from next season. In turn, Rogue has been negotiating with various teams for several months, among which were Karmine Corp, Giants and Case Esports. According to the source, KOI managed to interest Rogue and it seems that the deal is close to completion.

The details of the deal are still unclear, according to sources close to the situation, but a few weeks ago, Rogue spoke with several teams such as Karmine Corp about a $20 million deal for 40% of spot, although the deal is close to being finalized with KOI, and, in all likelihood, the details of this agreement will be beneficial to both parties.

A little earlier, information appeared that the Danish eSports organization Astralis is considering selling its slot in the LEC. At the same time, several organizations have already applied for Astralis' place in the European League of Legends. If the sale goes through, the organization will leave its place in the league to the new team starting next year. According to sources, organizations interested in buying the seat include Karmine Corp and Natus Vincere.

The agreement should have been agreed within the last few weeks, some details are yet to be finalized, and Riot Games is yet to approve the sale. The agreement will be to keep most of Rogue's structure in the LEC, with Rogue's academy being taken over by the Spanish LVP league. Everything indicates that the team will play under the name KOI or KOI Rogue, although this is yet to be decided.

In addition to the above details, the deal could affect other disciplines, including VALORANT. Although both teams applied separately, the organizations reached the final screening stage to join the affiliate program.

KOI is a relatively new team, despite being in its first year of competition, the team has broken all kinds of audience records in the LVP, moving to the LEC would be a big step for the organization.
