Nuguri returned to DAMWON Gaming
South Korean esports organization DAMWON Gaming has announced the return of Nuguri to the League of Legends roster. The 22-year-old South Korean esportsman has already represented the colors of the club from 2017 to 2020.
"It's been a year and a half since I left DWG KIA, so it's nice to be back. During my hiatus, I was still playing LoL, watching LCK, and playing other games. By the end of the spring split, I felt the urge to play League of Legends again, so I decided to come back. The reason I decided to go back to DWG KIA was because the players and coaching staff that I worked with before were on the same team.I think I missed Canyon the most.I went back on Wednesday where I felt like I could get used to everything most easily. I hope to get stronger both in and out of the game, " Nuguri said.
Nuguri was one of the best top players in the scene. Playing for DAMWON Gaming, the 22-year-old South Korean player became the champion of CK Summer 2018, Rift Rivals 2019: LCK vs LPL vs LMS vs VCS, LCK Regional Finals 2019, LCK Summer 2020 and 2020 World Championship.
However, Nuguri spent the last season as part of FunPlus Phoenix, where he scored silver in the LPL Spring 2021 and LPL Summer 2021, after which he left and put his career on pause, without finding a team before the start of the spring split.
Now, the 22-year-old South Korean is set to return to the scene, having reportedly already accepted an offer from his former team. As a reminder, DAMWON Gaming recently completed their performances at LCK Spring 2022, taking third place and earning $41,142.
From now on, the League of Legends roster of DAMWON Gaming is as follows:
- Burdol.
- Hoya.
- Nuguri.
- canyon.
- showmaker.
- deokdam.
- Kelly.
- Daeny and Zefa (coaching staff).
