Nongshim RedForce players and coach test positive for covid
Just a couple of hours ago, the sad news became known that part of the team and at least one player of the main team, along with the head coach of Nongshim RedForce, received positive tests for COVID-19.
This was announced by the team managers on their official Twitter page @NS_RedForce.
“Bdd,PeterandsBsgot positive test results today. We are still waiting for the PCR test forEffort. The rest of the team members have a negative test.
We have disinfected our training room, office and our players' homes and are conducting self-diagnostic tests daily, doing our best to further prevent illness.
We will announce details of future LCK matches as soon as matters are settled based on LCK guidelines. We're sorry to have made you worry. We will return healthy and strong.”
I also wish the guys a speedy recovery, because this game week alone, NS RedForce had two matches on schedule, against Brion Esports and Freecs.
And now let's estimate how critical such changes will become for the team:
Firstly, Bdd, the mid-laner of the main squad, fell ill, which is already not very good. The player can be replaced, but highly undesirable.
The second most important was sBs, the main coach of the team. But I believe that the coach could find a solution to work with the team remotely, because it should not be such a big problem.
But if Effort also becomes infected, things will get really bad. This is a support player from the main team, and therefore I'm not sure how the team can function at once without two players and a head coach.
Peter is an academy roster player for the NS RedForce Challengers. And his absence will not have such a strong impact on the holding of the LCK Challengers League 2022 Spring. Indeed, for the academic staff of Nongshim RedForce Peter has already become the second support, after Blessing, who is the main player in his role.
